Markus Binapfl’s recent rolling conga monster ‘Oh No’ returns this week with 2 brand new versions that take the track into new territory.

First up is a warm, thumping interpretation from Lützenkirchen.

“I tried to combine the old school feeling of the original with a new school style of mine,” the producer tells us.

“The vocals are quite old school housey but they don’t sound ‘overused’ in terms of the colour of the voice. My idea was to combine these vocals with my, lets say, more bumpy tech house style.

The result is a track that Lützenkirchen himself brands “bassline concentrated heavy house”.

Little Mountain Recordings is back with another large package. Following on from March’s release of ‘R.Y.A.N.L’ (Rock You All Night Long), we now present to you the remixes. Throughout 2010, the original ‘R.Y.A.N.L’ track has been a peak-time disco-fuelled future anthem, featuring tough techy percussion, a deep pulsating bassline and an infectious Daft Punk-esque vocoded vocal line which wowed audiences worldwide. The original track was first road-tested by Sander in the cream of the world’s clubs to great effect and caused a huge stir amongst the world’s DJ elite over the entire summer. The track also gained huge support from BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong.

Little Mountain Recordings now presents the remixes. The package opens with a storming remix from Pleasurekraft. This duo are based in both Stockholm and Miami, and combine the best in international house. They have turned in recent club slammers such as Tarantula, Kanamari and a slew of hot remixes for the likes of Jean Claude Ades, Lea Luna and Miles Dyson. Their remix is a cool, sounding chic interpretation, which will work on early floors as well as mid. The hook-up with Sander progresses beyond the label, as the pair will take to the decks with Sander in the US, including a set at Cielo in NYC on 30th September.

The next mix comes courtesy of Luetzenkirchen. Hots on the heels of recent EPs such as Weekend Freakshow, Phuture Disco Vibes and Just Thursday, the German maestro’s remix is a tougher workout, as you might expect. His signature tech-heavy beats and electronic stabs drive the track while firmly applying the funk at the same time. This remix will cater for the more driving, peak time moments.

The Hijack Brothers Remix is a more electro-sounding workout, with mad stabs and a pulsating bassline which will put any good sound system through its paces. It’s a full-on, in your face remix, which really uses the vocoded influences to maximum effect. This act, comprising of Jack Lomo & Jack Diuzi, prove their diversity of not only turning in innovative house music, but also have rock and downtempo productions to their name. The duo even have a completely new funk-fuelled interpretation of Nirvana’s Smells Like Teen Spirit slated for release! Little Mountain Recordings is delighted to have The Hijack Brothers on board! The release of ‘R.Y.A.N.L’ remixes is set to ensure further plaudits for Little Mountain Recordings, and further ensures Sander Kleinenberg’s profile remains high as one of the most hard-working and pioneering DJs around in 2010.

Men of the moment and flavours of the month come and go, as the phrases suggest.
It’s relatively easy to get a short-term buzz in dance music – but in these days of limitless downloads and increasing disposability, few hotshots have got it what it takes to go the distance.

Lützenkirchen is one name that refuse to go away. Munich’s foremost electro-techno exponent has moved effortlessly between underground and overground success in recent years – scoring a German Top 10 chart hit with the huge 3 Tage Wach while putting out a prolific, consistent stream of cool and credible club tracks, all a decade after he first began producing.

From his huge remixes for the likes of John Digweed and Coburn to his outstanding 2008 artist album Pandora Electronica, the power and quality of his productions rarely slip.
Meanwhile his acclaimed live sets continue to grow in reputation, his charismatic stage presence bringing a breath of fresh air to the usual limp and lifeless laptop workout.

Tobias Lützenkirchen’s roots in the music game go way back to 1992, when he first appeared on record as singer. After immersing himself in his love dance music by working as a promoter in Ibiza in 1995, he worked as a professional background vocalist and songwriter on some major projects from 1996 to 1999, before succumbing to the house and techno bug that had been slowly consuming him.

Some 20+ aliases, artist names and collaborative groups later, Lützenkirchen was born in 2005 – the name with which he would finally become a global star. Blending infectious, jacking techno grooves with dirty electro sounds and dashes of house, his sounds is electronic as they come, but with a real sense of funk that makes his music accessible to a wide range of DJs, clubbers and part-time dance music enthusiasts.

He doesn’t follow the musical crowd – but that’s not to say that he doesn’t know how to keep the music fresh. Continually striving to innovative and evolve his sound, you can always count on him to push things forward – rather than copying the latest hotshot or ripping off endless old records.He only began his DJ career in 2006, when the success of his productions began to bring booking requests from around the world, and by 2008 he had switched to performing pure live sets. But whether he’s playing to 300 people in a sweaty provincial German nightclub, or to 35,000 at a huge festival, his enthusiasm and passion are the same.

The last two years have seen him play in every continent at least twice, with 8 tours of Brazil in the past 3 years alone. Despite this heavy travel schedule, he remains one of the most prolific producers around – with a level of quality that few can match.He’s not about hype, trends, fads or jumping on bandwagons – Lützenkirchen lets his music speak for itself. And 10 years on, it’s still telling quite a story…

So at the end everything went good...American Airlines found the case at U.S. Customs..;))

one day too late for the first gig but anyway, I got my stuff back
and could finish the tour with full equipment..;)

So it happened at last... Equipment and Luggage lost... between Miami and Colombia...

So actually it never happened before but theres always a first time it seems.
I arrived in Colombia yesterday to play Cali tonight and Medellin tomorrow
and between Miami and Cali somehow my cases disappeared...
of course with all the equipment.

So actually I am very sorry for the guys in Colombia here right now,
good thing is, I have a (very) small back-up Setup so that I can play anyways,
but of course its nowhere nearby the full setup.

The guys from American Airlines know that something went wrong but I think there´s no
chance and no way that even if they will find the stuff that it will be here on time.

So I hope for your understanding.

I have to say I had a really great time in Toronto and I
meet a lot of very nice people there.
Especially Anthony Attala from Detroit and Matt Herdman from Windsor.

Also I´d like to give a warm greeting to Annas and Hassan
from the the Bound by Sound Crew.

Canda concluded now my "play every continent in the world minimum twice" campaign.;)

We are now working on getting me back to north America next Summer.
Hopefully a complete tour including the US.

"3 Tage Wach" Nachfolge-Single kommt doch! ;)

Und nun ist es doch passiert... Mir ist ein Thema unter die Füsse gelaufen,
da kam ich einfach nich dran vorbei... ;)

Und anscheinend die Labels auch mal wieder nicht... :D

Die Nummer ist zwar schon fast in trockenen Tüchern, wird auch wieder
via Universal released, aber es ist noch etwas früh da zuviel zu verraten.
Arbeitstitel "I.H.M."

Nur soviel: Wird wieder komplett deutsch sein, ist aber diesesmal
um einiges "intelligenter", und es wird auch wieder ein Video geben,
aber dieses Mal mit erheblich mehr Style-Aufwand...;))

Jedenfalls freu ich mich selbst schon sehr drauf, wenn der Song in die
Pipeline geht, genau wie jeder in engsten Kreis, der ihn schon gehört hat... :D

After playing the mayday in poland, I will also play the mayday in dortmund/germany.

Together with Tomcraft we will do a hybrid live set dedicated to the end of the "5 YEARS GREAT STUFF" World Tour.

This means of course, that I will not play my typical live set which is typically only my own tracks and stuff, but more like a lot of the great stuff artists tracks in special edits in a live mashup. will be great anyways I think.

As it looks I will also play the mayday in budapest and also the mayday in vienna.
Nature One is also already confirmed this year, yeah!!

Yes, it got a bit quiet lately.;)

but no worries. I am just touring a loooot and preparing new tracks.
I will also put a little bit more effort in the new stuff that will be released in spring.

Hab ich nichts mit zu tun und auch auf den Inhalt keinerlei Einfluss.
Und wenn ich dann plötzlich Texte lese wie diesen hier:

Langsam wirds Zeit, das Thema 3TW noch einmal, diesmal zum letzen Mal, zu kommentieren
und damit für mich im Bezug auf die "Style-Polizei" abzuschliessen.

Bei den Leuten, bei denen ich seit 3 Tage wach "ja sowas von raus" bin, bei denen
bin ich ja "sowas von gerne" raus, weil ich in mitten von soviel Intoleranz gegenüber
Musik und meiner einer eh schlecht aufgehoben bin.

Zum Glück gibts da ne Quote von 100:1 von Leuten, die´s nich so eng sehen, oder das ganze Ding verstanden haben.

Im Endeffekt meine ich, ich hab seit langem schon einen nicht allzuschlechten Job gemacht
und mich kein Stück von meinem Kurs entfernt. Ich hab deutlich gemacht, das das eine Ausnahmenummer ist und bleibt, das es kein follow up gibt, und auch nix was so ähnlich wird,
weils einfach eine ansammlung lustiger Umstände war, wie das alles entstanden ist.

Das gerade die Nummer, die für und von meinen Freunden inspiriert und entstanden ist,
wo wir selbst alle drauf gewettet hätten, das die niemals (!) überhaupt in irgendnem Radiosender laufen wird, geschweige denn so abgeht, hättet doch selbst ihr Style-polizisten nicht erwartet.
ich erinner mich noch an so aussagen wie solche, die nummer wird never ever in coolen clubs laufen oder irgendwen interressieren. Die Panorama Bar hat Euch da wohl auch ganz schnell eines besseren belehrt. Und alles was danach kam, da wurden sogar Board-Threats vor lauter Sprachlosigkeit geschlossen. Wer falschen Hohn säht muss für den Spott nicht sorgen.
Die Reihenfolge war im Übrigen eine andere. Erst die DCC und alle coolen Charts und dann gings immer weiter crossover in die Mid-Range Clubbingen und weiter in die kommerzielleren.
Da hat man nun wirklich keinen Einfluss drauf.

als 3TW dann von uns allen (und vor allem für mich persönlich) völlig unerwartet dermassen kommerziell durch die Decke ginf, hiess es plötzlich, sie wäre von anfang an auf kommerz ausgelegt gewesen. Was ist n das für´n Witz?
Wie kann man mit so´ner Nummer mit solchem Kontext von Anfang an auf Kommerz aussein?
Vor allem mit Mixen von Olli und Mike Vamp? Wieso dann nich direkt Aquagen und Kosmonova?
Und dann auf Stil vor Talent releasen?! Dem Ultra-Kommerz Label überhaupt, oder? Schwachsinn.

Ich hab das Gefühl, das genau das von der Heulsusen abteilung kommt, die generell über alles meckern, was ihnen nich passt, oder sie net nachvollziehen können. Wie ne Omma aufn Fensterbrett, die den ganzen Tag nur über "die Leute da draussen" lästert.

Jedenfalls verschont mich bitte mit so´nem Müll.

Und wer will mir ernsthaft erzählen, das, wenn Optionen aufgehen, das man n bissl Geld verdienen
kann, man eh sofort nein sagt. Quark. Klar kann man über das Ausmass der Auswertung geteilter Meinung sein, aber ab dem Step zu Universal hatte weder ich noch GSR noch Stil vor Talent da noch irgendeinen Einfluss drauf, welche Optionen zur Auswertung gezogen werden. Und um ehrlich zu sein ists mir auch egal, da das ein One-Time Project ist und bleibt, und ich da logischerweise mitnehme, was kommt.

Ist auch nach wie vor so, das ich 1000 Prozent hinter *allen* nummern stehe, wo mein Name draufsteht, auch nach wie vor bei der 3TW.

Ausserdem:
Dann sollen die Leute, die meinen, Platten verkaufen sei kommerz am besten ihre ganzen digital-Labels etc sofort umsonst zum freien download
aufstellen und die Vinyls zum Selbstkostenpreis verkaufen, ohnen sich zu bereichern.
Merkt ihr was?
Genau so ein Schwachsinn...

In diesem Sinne. Lütze ist und bleibt ne konstante Grösse im Club. Ob´s der Style-Polizei passt oder nicht. Ich hab weiterhin meine Überzeugungen und Ideale von Clubmusik und Szene, auch wenns einigen nich passt.
Hab ich immer schon gesagt, da könnt ihr Euch auf den Kopf stellen, bleibt auch so.

Gegenwind bin ich schon seit der Schulzeit gewohnt und extrem daran gewachsen.

Damit gebt ihr mir mehr Motivation, als alle anderen...

Also... Weder ICH noch Olli, Kai oder sonstwer weiss wieso weshalb warum die ORIGINAL Videos von 3 Tage Wach bei Youtube (angeblich von der IFPI) gesperrt wurden wegen angeblicher URHEBERRECHTSVERLETZUNG.
Ist schon lustig, weil ich ja nunmal URHEBER bin und die Video-Urheber Olli Kai und ich sind.

Also wir sind da dran an dem Thema, ist nur schade, insbesondere für Kai, da gerade das Animierte Video schon in den Alltime-Favourites aufgetaucht ist, und das natürlich so oder so nicht mehr rückgängig zu machen ist...

Hey Guys.

Because I nearly exclusively play my own tracks and remixes on my DJ Gigs in the last time,
I decided to switch to a little Live-Setup around somewhere in July.

Not sure actually how this setup will look like, nothing too complicated, cause it´s very hard to
do something like this alone. Two guys would be way more able to do something great,
but anyway...;)

I also want to be able to stay flexible track-wise, so no pre-planned sets/shows will show up.

Maybe I will still continue to play DJ Sets at Afterhour Locations, but for all Peaktime-Sessions
expect Lutzenkirchen-Sound only. ;)

Press-Text: Well you may or may not know that we’re very big fans of Lützenkirchen here at Spin Out. After making a name for himself in 2005 on the label Great Stuff, his endless catalogue of remixes and personal productions have been outstanding and with his DJing style of Techno/Minimal/Microhouse he has also become a very sought after DJ. When he came to play for us down at Herbal in 2007 we knew this was a guy we wanted to work with and so here is what we’ve got for you; the first in a two part EP from the man himself.

‘Weasel Groove’ is the first single making up a two-part EP and the original is a typical Lützenkirchen bass heavy track. It kicks in with some nifty percussion, skippy beats and a techno bassline rolling on until the melody drops with some glitchy synths and the ‘out of time’ snippit vocal. The track builds up until the whole thing drops and when it does, you’d best watch those speakers as the bass is heavy, not unlike his infamous track ‘Knight Moves’. This one is soon to be another Lützenkirchen classic!

On the remix front, we have upcoming producer Blende, he’s recently done remixes for the likes of the Klaxons and MSTRKRFT and we knew he would be able to work his magic on this release and my god, what a remix! This track is just full-on jacking and dirty. There is no messing about, just get on the dancefloor and fucking dance. The chunky beats will get your fists pumping and your butt moving and with the massive amount of dirty bass throughout we can almost guarantee you’ll be pulling your bass face through the whole track. Cleverly using the synth melody from the original this track breaks and then builds until it explodes into an all out frenzy of filthy which will have any dancefloor going crazy. What more can we say...its a pure filth fest!

German electro house honcho Luetzenkirchen is back, this time on Spin Out, with another release carrying his techy electronic sound. The two Time Warp EP's are both sold separately and as a full package and come with a handful of fine remixes.

EP 1 starts off with Weasel Groove, a minimal-styled, uptempo little tune featuring an industrial bass-line and a series of subtle kicks and drum snippets. The arped synth provides a more robotic vibe, and the break adds a series of cool vocals to tune after which a Tomcraft-style rhythm takes over. The result is a very rhythmic, very danceable tune with some great effecting, but nothing too special though. Blende provides a more interesting mix with a sequence full of raw, manipulated robot synths and industrial effects. The beat kicks like a mule, and the many effects, tempo changes, and great sequencing make this a hard rocking piece of electro house. Downright dirty electronics for ya here!

The main tune of the second EP is Back In Time, of which the original mix kicks a cool uptempo rhythm with punchy beats and lots of drum rattles. The track's quite techy, even techier that Luetzenkirchen's precious releases, and contains a great break in which a colourful blend of trancey synths are introduced. The synthesizers introduce a great, very trancey vibe to the techno-styled beats, resulting in a deep dark and melancholic piece of tunage. Well worth a listen. Caninesounds' remix packs a loud kick with a series of irregular modulated synths. More and more sounds are slowly introduced, and tension is build up carefully by using lots of breaks and fat effects. The climax is simple but highly effective, busting loud kicks combined with downlow electro bass-lines. Add some cool synth snippets and a fantastic 'big break' to that add you have yourself a very cool piece of club rocking music. Closing the EP is Kamuki with a rock-based rhythm supported by a series of bass-lines from the original mix. Just when you thought this one is bound to end up as a simple rock-styled techno tune, the break provides an original interlude with a kicking climax to go with. A nice example of rock versus electronics, a bit on the soft side perhaps, but definitely worth a spin.

Luetzenkirchen is quite a consistent factor when it comes to techy electro house. The Time Warp package has become another interesting release full of original beats and bass-lines. The original mixes of Weasel Groove and Back In Time are ace, with the remixes being a proper addition to the overall release. Simply a above-average package for electrohouse DJ's who like to keep it underground.

German based techno, minimal and electro uber king has certainly not failed to impress of recent times, a pioneer of the new school and wave of sounds that greet our ears every weekend, and that’s just productions, maintaining a solid rotation of worldwide Dj gigs alongside, Tobias Lutzenkirchen is no doubt here for the long haul.

This is the first in a two part EP from the main man, and we first get treated to the “Weasel Groove” bass heavy kicking track. A great techno inspired bassline pumps an injected full throttle and satisfies the head cases out there, and all this added with a rolling edge, cool melody and some glitchy synthy speaker sounds that pulsate like you don’t know what. Yet again, top draw underground business.

The remix is provided by an up and coming producer Blende, who recently has appeared with remixes for The Klaxons and MSTRKRFT, so I think you can guess it’s going to be a cracker already! Not to disappoint, you get an upmost dirty bass laden monster of a remix, which for me, has piped the Original mix. Straight from the offset, no messing about its sheer dirty mayhem with a chunky pumping relentless energy with a broody warble of a bass that gains momentum and eventually releases into a frantic breakdown that just literally on the kick back in goes nuts, described by the label as a pure filth fest, and can only agree, excellent!

Watch out for Part 2 of the EP, with “Back In Time” (Caninesounds Remix and Kamuki Remix).

After being thoroughly impressed with the delightful treats of Part 1 of this EP in the form of “Weasel Groove” Tobias Lutzenkirchen goes further for Part 2 with “Back In Time”. Opting for a refreshing Original track from the offset, using elements of trance and a great melody, with techy driven drums and that oh so important distinctive Lutzenkirchen phat bass.

In comparison to Part 1, this is a far more later in the night track that sits down really well and has a cool simple groove that simply gives off the right energetic value for the floor.

Caninesounds get down to business for their debut release, and pick up on the original melody but decide to bring a throbbing bassline with a gritty punch and kick that broods late night underground. Warbling sound effects and dirty crunches glide along nicely and provide a heavy re working in an electro meets electronica style with the throbby bass underpinning the whole track.

Kamuki finish off the package with an electro version, again using the melody, but with a clashier rocky punked out drum loop and bubbling away at the originals vibe to give a more floor groove mix for jamming. The more electro house fashioned bass is what gives this mix its main emphasis of difference and gives the no messing 4/4 heads some dirty business.

DJ Mag (Money Shot): There’s a pleasant flatness to electro-house but occasionally someone brings the funk in style, and it really blows the roof off. In ‘Paperboy’ Lützy delivers a mix of Prince-esque skippy guitar licks, classic ‘90s house organ and those jazzy electric piano runs that have become cool of late (see also The Youngsters). That’s quite a recipe, and the groove that emerges is certainly one of the tastiest we’ve heard so far this year 6/6

Raveline (House): Sehr überraschend kommt die neue Lützenkirchen daher. Mit recht jazzigen Elementen groovt "Paperboy" im Original richtig schön nach vorne. Gefällt mir sehr gut. Als Remixer gehen dieses mal D-Nox & Beckers an den Start. Sie gehen das Thema etwas floororientierter an. Dabei verliert ihr Mix leider recht viel vom Charme des Originals und brettert etwas uninspiriert vor sich hin. Mit "Mimic" gibt es noch einen extra Track, der sicher auf der ein oder anderen Afterhour zum Einsatz kommt. 4/5

Paperboy, questo il titolo, è il suo sesto singolo per la prestigiosa Great Stuff Records. La release è impreziosita dal remix di D-Nox & Beckers; ma la vera sorpresa è l'orignal version poiché ha reminescenze jazzy & funky che non ti aspetti da Lützenkirchen. Il remix, invece, è più 'tirato' in stile minimal-techno. Completa il pacchetto la traccia 'Mimic' spiccatamente deep.

IDJ: My first thought when listening to this is “what the hell?” Its somewhere in between techno, minimal and jazz. Lutzenkirchen pulls it off though as once again it’s great. I truly don’t know where the hell he gets the gonads to make music like this. ‘Mimic’ is also warped to hell and a truly decent minimal track. D-Nox and Beckers provide the only remix of ‘Paperboy’ and turn it into a more club friendly techno romper. 3/5

Also es ist schon interressant, das alles zu beobachten, was um die "3 Tage Wach"-Nummer grad so passiert. Wenn ich gewusst hätte, das ein Track, bei dem ich mir im Studio den Arsch abgelacht hab, dessen text aus floskeln und dämlichen kommentaren
entstanden ist, der auf Satire ausgelegt war und ist, bei einigen so schlechte Stimmung verursacht, hätt ichs mir überlegt, diese Nummer rauszubringen.

Denkt man dran, das es seit langem viel Satire in sämtlichen Musikrichtungen gibt, (talking ´bout
those little pills, that frills n grills...z.B. vor einigen Jahren) teilweise sogar echt heftige sachen (im US Rap sowie auch im deutschen HipHop, über kiffen, killen, verbrecher etc...wo ich aber auch weiss, wie ich das sehen muss...da würd ich mich auch nicht drüber
auslassen) gibt, kann ich kaum begreifen, wie man sich so dermassen über diese Nummer auslassen kann. Ist nicht böse gemeint, kapier ich aber nicht.

Im Endeffekt kann und sollte mir das egal sein, da ich gottseidank weiss, das die meissten leute es als das verstehen und sehen, was es ist. Eine lustige Nummer, bei der viele Leute (inklusive mir selbst) viel spass hatten und haben...
Es ist trotzdem schön zu sehen, das letzteres dann doch der grossteil (oder sogar fast alle..;)) sind, die wissen, wie man diese nummer betrachten sollte...
nämlich dann doch nicht so bitter-ernst oder gar als "aufruf das alle drogen nehmen sollten"
(das ist ja schon fast lächerlich, wie man das da raus interpretieren sollte...also bitte...)
und in der das war der sinn dahinter, als ich den track gemacht hab...

in diesem Sinne, Rave on, und mann leute, bitte, nehmt das ding doch nich so
bitter bitter ernst, das ist ja fast peinlich...

Will garnicht darüber nachdenken, was das für wellen schlägt, wenn die erstmal draussen ist..;)

- Q: Why Lützenkirchen?

-A: Because that´s my name.

-Q: Which VST Plugins do U use

-A: The ones that get the job done. I never use the same stuff frequently. More important is,
that I hate presets. In my opinion it´s never the point *what* you use, way more important *how* ;)

-Q: Can we make a remix swap?

-A: Most of the time the answer will be simply no. At the end it depends on. But normally I nearly never do remix swaps.
Hope you understand.

-Q: Can I send you some demos and you can give them to Great Stuff / Craftmusic/etc?

-A: I´m not the A&R of theese Labels. Feel free to send your demos directly to the A&R.
I did this by myself in the beginning.

-Q: How much costs a remix / booking /etc when I want you to x/y/z

-A: first of all this always depends on. Second, please feel free to send a request
to my bookingagency or my management, thats why they´re there for me.;)

-Q: I have a supercool demo for Platform B! The sound fits totally to your label.

-A: As said on PLatform B website & myspace site this is a
concept about friendship. No personal friends, no release on platform b, no matter what.

-Q: Do you use more analog gear or digital plug ins?

-A: Whatever floats the boat. You don´t necessarily need all this fancy stuff.
The Give me Love Remix (Coburn) for example never left Ableton live and was
even summed via Abletons internal Summingbus. (Same for some of the LK-Pro Tracks)
On the other hand the unique sound of teh Daily disco bassline was done with a Juno 106,
in my opinion until today not possible to do with any plugin.

-Q: Which sequencer do you use?

-A: 90% of the time Logic Pro.

-Q: Is it true, that you started as a singer/rapper back in the days?

-A: True indeed, and not ashamed of.
It´s also a little secret, that I still do the vocals of some tracks by my self (like Aquaviva & Lutzenkirchen Zombie & No Fear,
Lützenkirchen - The Killer or LXR - Freak me)
